About the elderly person who gives this jersey its name

Avi Amadeu
Merchant (1896 -1967) Granollers, Barcelona

Born in Granollers, the son of merchants, Amadeu Barbany i Pons began as a watchmaker, but he always said that he "destroyed watches more than he fixed them." He was a lover of poetry and was a correspondent for the newspaper El Diluvio. He was also a councillor for culture at the town hall during the republic and is remembered for having acted as the lead actor in the film "Champion for Love" by Ramon Dagà. He was also part of a small group of journalists sent to the USSR to document the situation in the new state. He explained that they were taken on a train without windows, and that when they stopped at a station they were greeted with orchestras, dancers and large meals. Little is known about the contents of the notes he took on that trip, since grandmother Margarita got rid of them fearing that they could bring them problems. When the war broke out, grandfather collaborated with the Red Cross by driving an ambulance that was none other than his own car requisitioned by the CNT. After the war he continued with the family business, the clothing store and a knitting factory. We still keep, as a treasure, the notebook where he drew the patterns for his jumpers.

Unisex oversized pearl knit sweater in maroon with rice stitch details. This is a limited edition of limited units. Inspired by Mr. Batllori, a ceramicist.
