Care

Washing: You can wash it by hand (with cold water) or in the washing machine (maximum 30 degrees).
We recommend turning it upside down to prevent it from forming balls.

Drying: Avoid tumble drying. Simply leave it out to air dry.

Ironing: Avoid touching the fabric with the iron, only steam from a distance.

Wisdom and firmness (1951-2022) Ngoye, Senegal

A hard-working, combative and family-oriented woman. Ami was born in Ngoye, a small Serer village in the interior of Senegal. Orphaned at the age of 10 and with no older brothers, she worked hard to help support her family; she went to the fields, drove the plow with her horse and looked after her younger brothers. Stubborn and determined, she was the first woman in the village to go to Dara, the Koranic school. She married young and had 8 children. For her, the most important thing of all was the family: she looked after it with firmness and wisdom. Always, with tenacity. She built a united and conflict-free home where everyone loved each other. With a lively and energetic look and direct and sincere words, she was a much-loved and respected woman in the village. She did not like lies or injustice, and if she had to fight, she fought. Ami actively participated in the community and cultural celebrations of the village with modesty and elegance. In the evenings, she liked to sit under the big baobab tree in front of her house to chat with her friends... friends who, from under the same baobab, miss her today and remember her as the woman who was not afraid and who did everything for her family.
