About the elderly person who gives this jersey its name

Anna atkins
Photographer and botanist (1799 - 1871) United Kingdom 1843.

Anna Atkins, 41, carefully places samples of an algae on a paper sensitized with iron salts and presses them with glass. Exposed to light for 15 minutes and washed with water, the uncovered parts of the paper will turn blue. Each image has the name of the sample written on it, which she has previously recorded on a transparent paper that serves as a negative for printing. The result will be a new cyanotype for her collection, a work in which art and science will once again merge to create the blue legacy of a visionary. This is Photographs of British Algae (1843 - 1853), an edition of approximately 400 images, which today is recognized as the first book of photographs in history. Anna's aesthetic talent together with the precision of her meticulous work is what makes her cyanotypes a work of art and at the same time a scientific document of great historical value. However, it took more than a century for his work to receive the recognition it deserved.

This sweater is a 3-color zig zag jacquard that makes a very beautiful herringbone effect. Due to its reddish colors, it is perfect to wear on any occasion as it looks good with all colors of jacket and pants. It is perfect to wear in winter or as a Christmas gift.

*For reference, the model is wearing size L.
