About the elderly person who gives this jersey its name

Filomena Arias
Meiga (1865 - 1938) Torbeo, Galicia

The oldest women in the town of Torbeo, Galicia, still remember the attacks that Filomena had when performing healings. A kind of transit that gave her the power to prophesize any situation or to heal the sick. But Filomena was not always a Meiga, her powers were awakened in her youth when she participated in a fiadeiro. They say in Torbeo that she went to drink water and came back barking and convulsing. They performed an exorcism on her and it seems that they managed to get three demons out of her (they were in the form of a dog), but there were still three more that were the cause of the Meiga's anomalous faculties. Her power of prediction was so precise that her fame spread like wildfire. Filomena Arias was also a great healer and received hundreds of visits from people from all over the peninsula. She never asked for anything or charged for her services, although she did accept gifts. Filomena was a single mother and for years lived in Torbeo with a man who helped her with visits. In 1936 she was banished and moved to Monforte where she lived in poverty until a woman took her into her home so she could end her days there. Finally she was buried in a common grave.

Men's or unisex knitted sweater in white and navy blue. It is a 2-color jacquard based on a repeating wave-shaped pattern. It is a very nice and discreet design that can be worn with any style and colors. It is perfect to wear in winter, at work or any other occasion.
